Community Recreation Center

The Gwendolyn Coffield Community Recreation Center is located in the heart of the Rosemary Hills community within the 17.1 acre Rosemary Hills-Lyttonsville Local Park. The recreation center offers a variety of recreation programs and activities for all ages. The park grounds, managed by the Maryland-National Capital Park & Planning Commission, includes a softball field, a football/soccer field, two multi-use fields, four tennis courts, a playground and a picnic area.

The Rosemary Hills community -- home to approximately 3,600 people -- is conveniently located about a mile from downtown Silver Spring. The neighborhood sits on .6 square miles of land north of East-West Highway and west of 16th Street. Nearly half of the homes in the community are inhabited by families with children.
