  • June 18, 2019:  Montgomery County BRAC Integration Committee (BIC) Meeting  (BIC meeting also planned for Oct. 15, 2019)
    • 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center, 4805 Edgemoor Lane, 2nd Floor Room A, Bethesda MD 20814. 
    • Agenda will include updates by agency and neighborhood stakeholders on  transportation improvement projects and related matters in Bethesda near NSAB and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Current major transportation projects include MCDOT's MD 355 Crossing Project, SHA's MD 355 (Rockville Pike)/Jones Bridge Road Intersection Improvement Project, MCDOT's Platt Ridge Drive Extension Project, and SHA's MD 185 (Connecticut Ave)/Jones Bridge Road Intersection Improvement Project.  Also ion the agenda will be a discussion of the future of the BIC in light of the forthcoming retirement of the BRAC Coordinator at the end of June 2019.

  • June 26, 2019:  Fort Detrick/Forest Glen Annex Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) Meeting
    • TIME:  6:30-7:30 p.m.
    • LOCATION:  Gwendolyn Coffield Community Center, 2450 Lyttonsville Rd, 2nd Floor, Silver Spring MD 20910
    • Agenda: Public Meeting to review the proposed landfill investigations and mitigations. 
    • RAB meetings are held to keep the public informed and involved in the Forest Glen Annex cleanup activities and to provide opportunities for public involvement in its environmental restoration program.  Interested citizens who would like to learn more about the restoration program or would like to become a RAB member are encouraged to attend the meeting.
