Translation Assistance
Customers who prefer to conduct business with Montgomery County in a language other than English can request translation assistance. The MC311 Customer Service Center offers a language interpretation service with over 150 languages available. After calling 311, press 2, for Spanish, or stay on the line to ask the next available customer service Representative to request to conduct the call in the language of your choice. Our translation service will be made available to you.

Bulk Trash or Scrap Metal Pick-up Request
Each residential property receiving Montgomery County-provided trash collection service is entitled to 5 bulk trash collections per the calendar year for large items that won't fit in a regular trash can or trash bag. Request online.

Recycling Bin Delivery
Montgomery County provides recycling bins to recycle bottles, cans, and jars for residents who receive County-provided curbside recycling collection. Request online.

Recycling Bin Pick-up
Residents who have old, damaged recycling bins (for plastic, glass and metal recyclables) may have the bins collected and recycled. Bins will be collected as part of the delivery of new bins each week. Request Online.

Schedule DPS Building Residential Construction Related Permitting Inspections
A building inspection may be scheduled online by using the prompts on Permitting Services "Search for a Permit" page. The building permit(s) must be available to schedule an inspection.

Name and Telephone Number of DPS Residential Building Inspector
To view a scheduled Building Construction Related inspection date, inspector name or inspector telephone number please have the permit in hand.

Property Tax Bill
Property tax bills are based on the assessment, set by the State Department of Assessment and Taxation office (SDAT), multiplied by the tax rate (set by the County Council in May). View property tax records to view and/or make payments online by credit card or bank account as appropriate.

Property Tax Credit for Elderly Individuals and for Military Retirees
This bill will provide a 20% credit on County property taxes, for owner-occupied homes for which at least one of the owners meet the eligibility requirements.

Landlord and Tenant Complaints, Disputes or Issues
The Office of Landlord-Tenant Affairs handles landlord and tenant disputes involving most residential rental properties located in Montgomery County, however, they DO NOT have jurisdiction within the incorporated municipalities
