Email application to [email protected]. A nonrefundable permit fee must be paid at the time of application. Payments must be made online via electronic check or credit card.

How it Works

 In addition to the application, an applicant must submit:

• Copies of all permits required by state and local health authorities;
• A signed indemnity form;
• Description of sidewalk vending cart including dimensions;
• A diagram showing the proposed area including distances from the sidewalk vending cart to the street, intersections, business, street cafes, pedestrian walkway.
• Applicant must allow for and show a minimum of five (5) feet of pedestrian walkway on the sidewalk for customers;
• Proof that the applicant possesses liability insurance in the amount of $500,000 and sign a statement holding Montgomery County harmless against any claim of liability;
• Individuals must post a bond to cover the cost of any removal of abandoned sidewalk vending cart, damage to or clean-up of public property.

How it Works

The normal processing time for approval or denial of a vendor’s license is ten days. If the application cannot be approved, staff will contact you with the basis of denial.

How it Works

Vendor inspections are scheduled by your area zoning inspector. They will contact you for inspection. If an additional inspection is needed the inspection will be arranged after the initial visit.
