About
- The Local Interagency Coordinating Council (LICC) functions as an oversight body for the Montgomery County Infants and Toddlers Program (MCITP). It is mandated by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE).
- The LICC advises and assists the lead agency in administering, planning, coordinating, and improving the early intervention and education system.
- The LICC works together with the MCITP to ensure that all children with disabilities (birth-kindergarten eligibility age) and their families have access to appropriate developmental and educational services.
Mission
- Ensure the coordination of early intervention services for infants and toddlers with developmental delays, atypical development, and those with a high probability of delay;
- Facilitate family and professional collaboration in the planning and implantation of comprehensive policies and programs;
- Promote the development of accessible and responsive early intervention service delivery systems in Montgomery County
