► Have you or your dependent(s) recently lost coverage outside of the County?
  • If you or your dependent(s) recently lost or gained access to other health coverage outside of MCG, that is a qualifying life event, allowing you to change your benefit elections mid-year.
  • You have 60 days from the loss of coverage or new coverage effective date to submit your election changes, along with qualifying event documentation. Learn more about qualifying life events.

  • Virtual Thursday appointments: Sign up for a 10-minute one-on-one meeting with a member of the Health Insurance Team. 
  • In-person: Visit the Health Insurance Team in the Executive Office Building (101 Monroe Street, 7th floor) from 8 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Over-the-phone: Call the OHR Customer Service Team at 240-777-5000 from 8 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday.
