While Bethesda is a bedroom community for D.C., its also home to government offices, and tech, healthcare and investment companies. Among them: the main campus of the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where the President gets his yearly check-up, the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and the National Institutes of Health.
