Executive Boulevard – Grand Park Avenue Bike Lanes

Project Description

This project proposes to construct separated bike lanes along Executive Boulevard and Grand Park Avenue in the North Bethesda area. The proposed bike lanes will run along Executive Boulevard from Nicholson Lane to Marinelli Road and then continue along Grand Park Avenue from Marinelli Road to Old Georgetown Road.

The proposed design calls for one-way separated bike lanes on either side of Executive Boulevard and Grand Park Avenue, separated from traffic by a raised concrete median. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained along Executive Boulevard and Grand Park Avenue and left turn lanes will be provided throughout the corridor.

At the southern end of the corridor, this project connects to the existing separated bike lanes on Executive Boulevard, which continue south and east to connect to the Bethesda Trolley Trail. At the north end, the project connects to existing bike lanes on Old Georgetown Road.

A community meeting will be held in February 2026. Check back soon for meeting details.
