This project is to provide additional pedestrian and bicycle connectivity along Piney Branch Road beyond the immediate vicinity of the future Purple Line Station Area. The project extends along Piney Branch Road (MD320) from Sligo Creek Trail at the western limits to New Hampshire Avenue (MD650) at the east end. The proposed bicycle facility will tie into the Purple Line bikeway project, which extends from Arliss Street to the east side of the University Boulevard (MD 193) intersection.

A hybrid (virtual and in-person) public information meeting was February 7, 2024 to present multiple concepts under consideration.
