The Bowie Mill Road Bikeway Project proposes to construct a Shared Use Path/Bikeway along Bowie Mill Road from Muncaster Mill Road (MD 115) to Olney-Laytonsville Road (MD 108). This 3.3-mile-long bikeway will provide a critical connection in the existing bicycle network between existing trails and important destinations in the area, including the Intercounty Connector Bike Path, Needwood Road Bike Path, Shady Grove Metrorail Station, Sequoyah Elementary School, Colonel Zadok Magruder High School, and Olney Town Center.
