MCEO NO. 288-06: DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND TRANSPORTATION - Authorization of Road Phase of Brookville Service Park Project - CIP No. 509928. The County Executive finds that public interest requires improvement of an access road located in Silver Spring, Maryland, and the Director of the Department of Public Works and Transportation is authorized to proceed with the construction of access road improvement from Brookville Road north of the County's facility located at 8710 Brookeville Road westerly approximately 1,131 feet then entering the County's facility as a one lane roadway, 20 feet wide with curb and gutter on both sides and a four-foot wide sidewalk along the south side of the roadway. The project will include improved and new storm water management facilities, streetlights and landscaping. A public hearing was held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 6, 2006, in the EOB at 101 Monroe Street in Rockville, Maryland 20850. The Hearing Examiner recommended approval of the project. The total estimated cost of the project is $4,000,000 to be paid for from funds approved for CIP Project No. 509928. Effective Date: 10/10/06.

This certifies that the construction of the following named streets has been completed in accordance with all applicable provisions of the Montgomery County Road Construction Code as specified in the permit. The materials used in the construction of these streets were tested and found to be in compliance with County specifications: Amelia Island Court, Harbour Town Drive, Mission Hills Court, Grand Cypress Court and Hilton Head Court, all in Hampshire Greens subdivision, and Cypress Hill Way and Cypress Hill Drive in Brookefield subdivision. MCEO NO. 320-06: FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICE - Fire Lane Establishment. This order is notification of the establishment of a fire lane at Liberty Heights, 13201 thru13223 Liberty Bell Court. The department is hereby ordered to post signs and paintcurbs/pavement (painting optional) in the location listed above. When signs and paint work have been completed, this order will authorize the enforcement of this fire lane by appropriate police and fire officials. Signs must be posted so that it is not possible to park a vehicle without being in sight of a sign. The fine for parking in a fire lane is $250.00. Effective Date: 11/14/06.
