MCEO NO. 077-09:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - White Oak Transit Center (CIP #500602).  The County Executive finds that public interest requires the construction to provide improvements to White Oak Transit Center located in Silver spring, Maryland within the Fifth Election District.  The proposed limit of work begins at the first entrance to the White Oak shopping center and extends 810 feet to the east.  The White Oak Transit Center project will help to provide transit facilities for growing transit needs within the White Oak area as defined in the December 2003 White Oak Transit Center Planning Study.  Unless otherwise approved by the County, expenditures authorized by this Order, plus expenditures accrued to date for the Project shall not exceed $1,476,000.00 and shall be payable from funds approved for CIP Project No. 500602.  Effective Date:  3/30/09

 

MCEO NO. 078-09:  DEPARTMENT OF FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICE - Fire Lane Establishment Order - to post fire lane signs and paint curbs/pavement (painting optional) as identified below.  When signs and paint work have been completed, this order will authorize the enforcement of this Fire Lane by appropriate police and fire officials.  Location: 4100 Jones Bridge Road.  Signs must be posted so that it is not possible to park a vehicle without being in sight of a sign.  Signs may be no farther apart then 100 feet.  Effective Date:  03/23/09

 

MCEO NO. 082-09:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - Traffic Order - Germantown.  Order for traffic control signs.  Install and/or remove the following traffic and/or parking control devices at the designated locations.  Remove No Parking Any Time on the north side of Clarks Crossing Drive from Stringtown Road to the western property line of 12701 Clarks Crossing Drive, on the south side of Clarks Crossing Drive from 110' west of Stringtown Road to Stringtown Road, and on the east side of Clarks Crossing Drive from Stringtown Road to Snowden Farm Parkway.  Install No Parking Any Time on the east side of Clarks Crossing Drive from Stringtown Road to the northern property line of 12701 Clarks Crossing Drive, on the east side of Clarks Crossing Drive from Murphy Grove Terrace to Snowden Farm Parkway, and on the west side of Clarks Crossing Drive from the extended southern curb line of Murphy Grove Terrace to Stringtown Road.  Effective Date:  3/26/09

 

MCEO NO. 083-09:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - Traffic Order - Bethesda.  Order for traffic control signs.  Install and/or remove the following traffic and/or parking control devices at the designated locations.  Remove Two Hour Parking 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Mon Thru Fri on both sides of South Brook Lane from Old Georgetown Road to Keystone Avenue.  Remove Stop on South Brook Lane so as to require northbound traffic to stop at Keystone Avenue.  Install No Parking Any Time on the northwest side of South Brook Lane from Keystone Avenue to Old Georgetown Road (MD 187).  Install 2 Hour Parking 9 AM - 5 PM Monday - Friday Except by Permit Glenwood on the southeast side of South Brook Lane from Old Georgetown Road (MD 187) to Keystone Avenue.  Install Stop on northbound South Brook Lane at Keystone Avenue.  Effective Date:  3/31/09

 

MCEO NO. 084-09:  DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY AFFAIRS - Designation of Nonprofit Organizations to Purchase or Rent Moderately Priced Dwelling Units (MPDUs).  Based upon the recommendations of the Director of the Department of Housing and Community Affairs, it has been determined that the following organization has demonstrated its ability to operate and maintain affordable housing satisfactorily and is eligible for participation in the MPDU program for the rental or purchase of MPDUs. MCEO NO. 085-09:  DEPARTMENT OF FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICE - Fire Lane Establishment Order - to post fire lane signs and paint curbs/pavement (painting optional) as identified below.  When signs and paint work have been completed, this order will authorize the enforcement of this Fire Lane by appropriate police and fire officials.  Location: Martins Property, 14900 & 15000 Blackburn Rd.  Signs must be posted so that it is not possible to park a vehicle without being in sight of a sign.  Signs may be no further apart than 100 feet.  Effective Date:  3/30/09

 

MCEO NO. 086-09:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - Apricot Lane Sidewalk (CIP #506747).  The Director of the Department of Transportation is hereby authorized to proceed with the construction of a concrete sidewalk under Capital Improvement Project 506747 (Annual Sidewalk Program).  The sidewalk will be four feet (4') wide and will conform to the ADA requirements.  The total length of the sidewalk is approximately 1,075 linear feet.  Apricot Lane is classified as a secondary residential roadway and has a 60 foot public right-of-way.  The existing roadway is 22 feet wide.  There is approximately 19 feet of available public right-of-way on the east side of Apricot Lane.  The greenspace located between the sidewalk and edge of pavement will vary from zero to four feet wide.  Every effort will be made during the construction to cause minimal disturbance within the public right-of-way.  Unless otherwise approved by the County, expenditures authorized by this Order plus expenditures accrued to date for this project shall not exceed $38,256.00 and shall be made payable from funds appropriated for CIP No. 506747.  Effective Date:  4/02/09

 

MCEO NO. 087-09:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - Winesap Drive Sidewalk (CIP #506747).  The Director of the Department of Transportation is hereby authorized to proceed with the construction of a concrete sidewalk under Capital Improvement Project 506747 (Annual Sidewalk Program).  The sidewalk will be four feet (4') wide and will conform to the ADA requirements.  The total length of the sidewalk is approximately 3,145 linear feet.  Winesap Drive is classified as a secondary residential roadway and has a 60 foot public right-of-way.  The existing roadway is 23 feet wide.  There is approximately 17 feet of available public right-of-way on the south/east side of Winesap Drive.  The greenspace located between the sidewalk and edge of pavement will vary from zero to four feet wide.  Every effort will be made during the construction to cause minimal disturbance within the public right-of-way.  Unless otherwise approved by the County, expenditures authorized by this Order plus expenditures accrued to date for this project shall not exceed $103,771.00 and shall be made payable from funds appropriated for CIP No. 506747.  Effective Date:  4/02/09

 

MCEO NO. 088-09:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - Cherry Grove Drive Sidewalk
(CIP #506747).  The Director of the Department of Transportation is hereby authorized to proceed with the construction of a concrete sidewalk under Capital Improvement Project 506747 (Annual Sidewalk Program).  The sidewalk will be four feet (4') wide and will conform to the ADA requirements.  The total length of the sidewalk is approximately 2,245 linear feet.  Cherry Grove Drive is classified as a secondary residential roadway and has a 60 foot public right-of-way.  The existing roadway is 22 feet wide.  There is approximately 19 feet of available public right-of-way on the south side of Cherry Grove Drive.  The greenspace located between the sidewalk and edge of pavement will vary from zero to four feet wide.  Every effort will be made during the construction to cause minimal disturbance within the public right-of-way.  Unless otherwise approved by the County, expenditures authorized by this Order plus expenditures accrued to date for this project shall not exceed $74,980.00 and shall be made payable from funds appropriated for CIP No. 506747.  Effective Date:  4/02/09

 

MCEO NO. 089-09:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - Quince Mill Drive Sidewalk (CIP #506747). The Director of the Department of Transportation is hereby authorized to proceed with the construction of a concrete sidewalk under Capital Improvement Project 506747 (Annual Sidewalk Program).  The sidewalk will be four feet (4') wide and will conform to the ADA requirements.  The total length of the sidewalk is approximately 2,200 linear feet.  Quince Mill Drive is classified as a primary residential roadway and has a 70 foot public right-of-way.  The existing roadway is 23 feet wide.  There is approximately 23 feet of available public right-of-way on the north side of Quince Mill Drive.  The greenspace located between the sidewalk and edge of pavement will vary from zero to four feet wide.  Every effort will be made during the construction to cause minimal disturbance within the public right-of-way.  Unless otherwise approved by the County, expenditures authorized by this Order plus expenditures accrued to date for this project shall not exceed $75,703.00 and shall be made payable from funds appropriated for CIP No. 506747.  Effective Date:  4/02/09

MCEO NO. 090-09:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - Bunchberry Lane/Bunchberry Court Sidewalk (CIP #506747). The Director of the Department of Transportation is hereby authorized to proceed with the construction of a concrete sidewalk under Capital Improvement Project 506747 (Annual Sidewalk Program).  The sidewalk will be four feet (4') wide and will conform to the ADA requirements.  The total length of the sidewalk is approximately 1,165 linear feet.  Bunchberry Lane and Bunchberry Court are classified as secondary residential roadways and both have a 60 foot public right-of-way.  The existing roadway width along Bunchberry Lane and Bunchberry Court is 22 feet wide.  There is approximately 19 feet of available public right-of-way  along  the south side of Bunchberry Lane and the east side of Bunchberry Court.  The greenspace located between the sidewalk and edge of pavement will vary from zero to four feet wide.  Every effort will be made during the construction to cause minimal disturbance within the public right-of-way.  Unless otherwise approved by the County, expenditures authorized by this Order plus expenditures accrued to date for this project shall not exceed $41,705.00 and shall be made payable from funds appropriated for CIP No. 506747.  Effective Date:  4/02/09

 

MCEO NO. 091-09:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - Clover Knoll road sidewalk (CIP #506747).  The Director of the Department of Transportation is hereby authorized to proceed with the construction of a concrete sidewalk under Capital Improvement Project 506747 (Annual Sidewalk Program).  The sidewalk will be four feet (4') wide and will conform to the ADA requirements.  The total length of the sidewalk is approximately 445 linear feet.  Clover Knoll Road is classified as a secondary residential roadway and has a 60 foot public right-of-way.  The existing roadway is 22 feet wide.  There is approximately 19 feet of available public right-of-way on the south side of Clover Knoll Road.  The greenspace located between the sidewalk and edge of pavement will vary from zero to four feet wide.  Every effort will be made during the construction to cause minimal disturbance within the public right-of-way.  Unless otherwise approved by the County, expenditures authorized by this Order plus expenditures accrued to date for this project shall not exceed $19,196.00 and shall be made payable from funds appropriated for CIP No. 506747  Effective Date:  4/02/09

 

MCEO NO. 092-09:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - Jackson Road Sidewalk (S/S) (CIP #506747).  The Director of the Department of Transportation is hereby authorized to proceed with the construction of a concrete sidewalk under Capital Improvement Project 506747 (Annual Sidewalk Program).  The sidewalk will be five feet (5') wide and will conform to the ADA requirements.  The total length of the sidewalk is approximately 1,850 linear feet.  Jackson Road is classified as a primary residential roadway and has a 70 foot public right-of-way.  The existing roadway is 36 feet wide.  There is approximately 17 feet of available public right-of-way on the south side of Jackson Road.  There will be a variable greenspace of two to four feet located between the sidewalk and edge of pavement.  Every effort will be made during the construction to cause minimal disturbance within the public right-of-way.  Unless otherwise approved by the County, expenditures authorized by this Order plus expenditures accrued to date for this project shall not exceed $81,400.00 and shall be made payable from funds appropriated for CIP No. 506747.  Effective Date:  4/02/09

 

MCEO NO. 093-09:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - Jackson Road Bikeway (N/S) (CIP #507596).  The Director of the Department of Transportation is hereby authorized to proceed with the construction of an asphalt bikepath under Capital Improvement Project 507596 (Annual Bikeway Program).  The bikepath will be eight feet wide and will conform to the White Oak Master Plan and the ADA requirements.  The  total length of the bikepath is approximately 1,420 linear feet.  Jackson Road is classified as a primary residential roadway and has a 70 foot public right-of-way.  The existing roadway is approximately 36 feet wide.  There is approximately 17 feet of available public right-of-way on the north side of Jackson Road.   There will be a variable greenspace of zero to four feet located between the bikepath and the edge of pavement.  Every effort will be made during construction to cause minimal disturbance within the public right-of-way.  Unless otherwise approved by the County, expenditures authorized by this Order plus expenditures accrued to date for this project shall not exceed $96,800.00 and shall be made payable from funds appropriated for CIP No. 507596.  Effective Date:  4/02/09

 

MCEO NO. 094-09:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - Dennis Avenue sidewalk (CIP #506747.  The Director of the Department of Transportation is hereby authorized to proceed with the construction of a concrete sidewalk under Capital Improvement Project 506747 (Annual Sidewalk Program).  The sidewalk will be five feet (5') wide and will conform to the ADA requirements.  The total length of the sidewalk is approximately 2,040 linear feet.  Dennis Avenue is classified as a primary residential roadway and has a 60 foot public right-of-way.  The existing roadway is 33 feet wide.  There is approximately 13 feet of available public right-of-way on the south side of Dennis Avenue.  There will be a variable greenspace located between the sidewalk and edge of pavement.  Every effort will be made during the construction to cause minimal disturbance within the public right-of-way.  Unless otherwise approved by the County, expenditures authorized by this Order plus expenditures accrued to date for this project shall not exceed $106,130.00 and shall be made payable from funds appropriated for CIP No. 506747.  Effective Date:  4/02/09

 

MCEO NO. 095-09:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - Gold Mine Road Bikeway (CIP #507596).  The Director of the Department of Transportation is hereby authorized to proceed with the construction of an asphalt bikepath under Capital Improvement Project 507596 (Annual Bikeway Program).  The bikepath will be 8 feet wide and conform to the ADA requirements.  The total length of the bikepath is approximately 4, 880 linear feet.  Gold Mine Road is classified as a primary residential roadway and has a 70 foot public right-of-way.  The existing roadway is approximately 27 feet wide.  There is approximately 21 feet of available public right-of-way on the south side of Gold Mine Road.  There will be a variable greenspace of zero to four feet located between the bikepath and the edge of pavement.  Every effort will be made during construction to cause minimal disturbance within the public right-of-way.  Unless otherwise approved by the County, expenditures authorized by this Order plus expenditures accrued to date for this project shall not exceed $270,606.00 and shall be made payable from funds appropriated for CIP No. 507596.  Effective Date:  4/02/09

 

MCEO NO. 096-09:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - Condemnation Authorization Parcel P108, Tax Map Grid FR32 Travilah Road Improvements - CIP No. 500101.  Montgomery County has acquired by Advance Taking the described property which is necessary for the construction of the Travilah Road  project, in connection with the Department of Transportation CIP Project No. 500101.  The County Attorney is hereby directed to acquire by condemnation the property which is needed by the County for the Travilah Road Improvements Project in connection with Capital Improvements Program Project No. 500101.  Effective Date:  4/06/09

 

MCEO NO. 097-09:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - Condemnation Authorization Parcel P223, Tax Map Grid FR22 Travilah Road Improvements - CIP No. 500101.  Montgomery County has acquired by Advance Taking the described property which is necessary for the construction of the Travilah Road project, in connection with the Department of Transportation CIP Project No. 500101.  The County Attorney is hereby directed to acquire by condemnation the property which is needed by the County for the Travilah Road Improvements Project in connection with Captial Improvements Program Project No. 500101.  Effective Date:  4/06/09

 

MCEO NO. 098-09:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - Condemnation Authorization Parcel P330, Tax Map Grid FR22 Travilah Road Improvements CIP No. 500101.  Montgomery County has acquired by Advance Taking the below described property which is necessary for the construction of the Travilah Road project, in connection with the Department of Transportation CIP Project No. 500101.  The County Attorney is hereby directed to acquire by condemnation the following property which is needed by the County for the Travilah Road Improvements Project in connection with Capital Improvements Program Project No. 500101.  Effective Date:  4/06/09

 

MCEO NO. 099-09:  DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION - Williamsburg Village.  The petition from the Williamsburg Willage Area to transfer from Subdistrict B to Subdistrict A is hereby approved.  Effective Date:  4/10/09

MCEO NO. 105-09:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - Sale of Public Parking Lot #39 to Gallery Associates, LLC.  Orders that the Bethesda Parking Lot No. 39 be sold to Gallery Associates, LLC under the terms of the proposed General Development Agreement between the parties.  Effective Date:  4/07/09

MCEO NO. 109-09:  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - Traffic Order - Germantown.  Order for traffic control signs.  Install and/or remove the following traffic and/or parking control devices at the designated locations.  Install Speed Limit 30 on Haines Road from Lewisdale Road to the end of the paved portion of Haines Road (approx. � mile).  Install Speed Limit 25 on Haines Road from the end of the paved portion to the Frederick County Line (approximately 2900').  Effective Date:  4/07/09
