MCER NO. 1-88AM: PROPOSED REPEAL OF DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION REGULATION - Control of Noise from Heat Pumps and Air Conditioners on Property in Residential Zones

SUMMARY: Executive Regulation 1-88AM raised the maximum permissible sound level limits for heat pumps and air conditioners on lots having an area of less than 12,000 square feet. This regulation is proposed for repeal because advancing technology has rendered the regulation obsolete.
