BUILDINGS - ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN - Bill 17-06 requires certain non-residential buildings and multi-family residential buildings to achieve certain standards relating to energy efficiency and environmental design; requires certain applicants for a building permit to submit certain plans relating to energy efficiency and environmental design to the Department of Permitting Services for approval; requires the Department of Permitting Services to make compliance with certain energy efficiency and environmental design standards a condition of certain building and use-and-occupancy permits; and generally amends the law relating to the construction of buildings, development review, building permits, energy and environmental design. Effective date: March 1, 2007. PROPERTY TAX CREDIT - SENIOR CITIZENS - Bill 35-06 provides a property tax credit for certain senior citizens of limited income. Effective date: July 1, 2007. STREETS AND ROADS - FEES - PRELIMINARY SUBDIVISION PLANS - Expedited Bill 39-06 authorizes the Department of Public Works and Transportation to set fees by regulation for the review of preliminary subdivision plans; and generally amends the law governing streets and roads. Effective date: November 8, 2006. BOND AUTHORIZATION - Expedited Bill 46-06 authorizes the County to issue certain bonds. Effective date: November 30, 2006. MOTOR VEHICLES - MOTORCYCLE PARKING - Expedited Bill 47-06 allows motorcycles to park in a public parking facility in certain no-parking zones and in certain areas not designated as spaces; and generally amends the law governing parking of motor vehicles. Effective date: November 30, 2006.
