Pursuant to Montgomery County Code. Sec. 29-53, Voluntary Rent Guidelines - Review of Rent Increases, the County Executive must issue annual voluntary rent increase guidelines not later than March 1 of each year and publish the guidelines in the County Register. The guidelines must be based on the increase or decrease in the residential rent component of the Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers for the Washington-Baltimore metropolitan area, or any successor index, for the preceding calendar year. Effective February 1, 2009, the annual Voluntary Rent Guideline for Montgomery County is 4.4 percent. For copies of document contact Scott W.
