MCER NO. 12 -12AM :   PROPOSED DEPARTMENT OF FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICE REGULATION
Fire Safety Code Inspections, Permits, Licenses, Exceptions, and Fees

SUMMARY:  The proposed regulation reflects the move of new construction inspections related to Fire Code requirements to the Department of Permitting Service (DPS).  These inspection fees were previously a part of the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service’s Executive Regulation 5-06AM, Fire Safety Code – Fee Schedule for Inspections, Permits, License, Certificates and Exceptions.  By agreement with DPS, these inspection responsibilities were delegated and DPS assumed responsibility for fire permit inspections on February 1, 2012.  This regulation has also been revised to clarify certain existing business practices related to fee payment and late fees.  The proposed regulation would supersede Executive Regulation 5-06AM.The proposed regulation establishes the position description for the Assistant Chief of Police, a non-merit position proposed to be created in the Department of Police.

MCER NO. 24-12 :   PROPOSED DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT REGULATION
Small Business Assistance Program

SUMMARY:  The proposed regulation establishes a program to assist certain small businesses located in the County who are adversely impacted by a County redevelopment project or a redevelopment project located on County property.
