MCER NO. 27-16T:   TEMPORARY DEPARTMENT OF PERMITTING SERVICES REGULATION
Schedule of Fees for Permits, Licenses and Certifications - Method 2

SUMMARY: The Department of Permitting Services (DPS) is funded through its collection of fees.  Montgomery County enacted Bill 35-16, which amends Chapter 8 of the County Code.  Bill 35-16 requires a person to obtain a permit from the Department of Permitting Services in order to create or alter certain Ownership Units.  This regulation amends Executive Regulation 14-16 to establish a permit fee for the creation or alteration of Ownership Units as provided in Chapter 8-24 of the Montgomery County Code.  Bill 35-16 goes into effect on February 13, 2017.  This temporary regulation is necessary in order for DPS to have the authority to collect fees for this new permit type by the effective date of the legislation.

ACTION:  Temporary regulation 27-16T, will become effective on February 13, 2017 for 90 days.
