Find my retirement plan

  1. Go to Employee Self-Service.

  2. Log in with your County user name and password. (If you do not know them, call the IT Help Desk at 240-777-2828.)

  3. Click the "Go to Employee Self Service" button.

  4. Under Navigator, click the folder titled "MCG HR Employee Self Service".

  5. Select "Payslip" and look at the "Retirement" line item on your paycheck.

    Under pre-tax deductions, you will see “Retirement” with a two letter code. The first letter is your Retirement Group.

    • If you are in the ERS, the second letter reflects whether if you were a member prior to or after 07/01/1978.
    • For the GRIP, RSP and EOP the second letter reflects if you are a bargaining or non-bargaining unit member.
    If your retirement code begins with Your plan is
    A, E, F, G, H, J Employees' Retirement System (ERS)
    C Guaranteed Retirement Income Plan (GRIP)
    R Retirement Savings Plan (RSP)
    Z Elected Officials Plan (EOP)

If you do not have access to the Employee Self Service portal to view your pay slip, contact MCERP online or by phone at 240-777-8230. A member of the Retirement Team will provide you with your retirement plan/group information.
