The Background Check Process
Fire and EMS personnel are some of the most trusted people in the community. They are allowed entry into homes and businesses, as well as, given access to information which requires the highest levels of sensitivity. Therefore, it is critical for MCFRS candidates to go through an extensive background check to ensure that those we serve can have confidence in our department.
Each candidate is required to complete an extensive background packet that covers everything from employment and criminal history, vehicle and driving records to information on a candidates education, family members and neighbors. Candidates should expect a rigorous and thorough investigative process.
