Office of Food Systems Resilience Grants
The Office of Food Systems Resilience in partnership with the Office of Grants Management has established multiple grant programs to support the implementation of initiatives aligned with The Strategic Plan to End Childhood Hunger. The programs OFSR administers are below at the program links. Current programs are noted below:
Food as Medicine Grant Program
$750,000 awarded to six partnerships to support innovative programs that connect pediatric patients experiencing diet-related disease and food insecurity

School-Based Food Assistance Program
$1,250,274 awarded to 11 organizations to support new initiatives and the expansion of existing projects at 60+ Montgomery County Public School Sites.

Community Food Assistance Program
$3,699,500 awarded across 49 food assistance provider organizations.

Nutrition Benefits Outreach Grant Program
$300,000 in total grant funding is available for innovative approaches to reach and provide enrollment support to Montgomery County families that are eligible, but not actively enrolled, in SNAP and other federal and state-level nutrition benefits programs.
Status: The grant application deadline is on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
Resident and Community Gardening Grant Program
$210,559 awarded to 7 grantees to support initiatives that expand resident and community food production capacity as a means of increasing local food security.
