Our Current Initiatives

OFSR Strategic Plan: Updated November 2023

Our current initiatives are organized according to their focus and their place in the workflow process. Below are short descriptions of each initiative that the OFSR currently is assessing.

 Policy Initiatives: Serve as an internal subject matter expert and advocating for food system policies, including legislative, regulatory, zoning, planning, and programmatic efforts.

Investment Initiatives: Guide County food system spending, procurement, program funding, and resource management.

Collaboration Initiatives: Engage the critical insights and expertise of residents, community organizations, businesses, government agencies, and non-profit service providers at the municipal, county, state, regional, and federal levels.

Data Initiatives: Collect, analyze, and communicate relevant food system data to inform strategy and decision making, and measure progress and impact with intention

Office Operations Initiatives: Foster an efficient and effective office in order to fulfill the OFSR’s legislative mandates and requirements.
