FY24 SNAP Outreach Grant Program
The FY24 SNAP Outreach Grant Program has awarded funds to five community-based organizations (CBOs) that are designated by the Maryland Department of Human Services to conduct outreach to Montgomery County residents in relation to applying for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). These programs expand outreach efforts, and build staff capacity to provide application and enrollment assistance to Montgomery County families that are eligible for SNAP benefits. This grant program is focused on increasing benefits enrollment amongst families with children ages 0-5, as this population of children is more difficult to reach through traditional school-based interventions.
