RACIAL EQUITY & SOCIAL JUSTICE COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
The Office of Racial Equity & Social Justice (RESJ) Community Engagement division focuses on advancing Racial Equity and Social Justice practices within county departments. We support the county in meeting its racial equity goals by ensuring Equitable Community Engagement processes are embedded in the county’s operations, programs, services, policies, and community engagement efforts. The RESJ’s Equitable Community Engagement Process serves as a framework designed to dismantle structural barriers and provide access to information, opportunities, and inclusion of Black, Indigenous, and Other People of Color (BIPOC) and community members with low income to participate in the decision-making process and represent the needs and priorities of all our community members.
