The Long Branch Library has been refurbished to modernize the library building, address problems with the facility, and provide a new resources for library patrons. The interior of the building was totally renovated including new public restrooms, a family restroom, teen and children’s areas, group study room, laptop lane, new storefront entrances on both levels, along with new paint, carpeting, furniture and some shelving.
New roofs where installed on the plaza, mid, and high roof, new plaza decorative railing, and a stucco exterior finish along 1st level of Garland Avenue and front of the building. New LED lighting fixtures and ceiling tiles were installed along with a new fire alarm.
New bronze building name was installed on the front entrance and a new message board monument sign was erected at the corner of Garland and Walden. ADA pedestrian improvements were made to the parking lot, access ramp, and stairs. And new front and courtyard retaining walls were installed along with landscaping and sod.
