Montgomery County Public Libraries

Current Phase: Design

Sheladia Associates, Inc. has been selected to do the design which is anticipated to commence in October 2024.

Sheladia and Associates has been retained to prepare the design of the library refurbishment in accordance with the Program of Requirements previously developed for the library. Among other things, the Program of Requirements call for addressing the noise in the children's area, adjusting and cleaning the glass canopy over the coffee shop entrance, replacing defective window blinds, replacing all sliding entrance doors with swing-out doors, replacing all damaged and dirty furniture along with carpeting and paint. In a separate project, DBDC has retained a contractor to install window film on the inside of the south facade and cafe / rotunda to reduce the heat gain in these areas.
