MONTGOMERY COUNTY DETENTION CENTER (MCDC) | MONTGOMERY COUNTY CORRECTIONAL FACILITY (MCCF)
While modified operations remain in effect, on-site family visitation for eligible inmates will resume effective Sunday, January 30, 2022 with the modified process and schedule as described below at both the Montgomery County Detention Center (MCDC) and the Montgomery County Correctional Facility (MCCF).
The visitation schedule will be based on facility housing dorms assigned to specific days on a rotating basis. Inmates will be provided advance notice of their assigned visitation date based on their housing assignment. Visitation schedule information will be updated approximately every eight (8) weeks. On the assigned date of their facility housing location, eligible inmates may receive one (1) 30-minute visit during these designated time frames.
Visitation may be cancelled at any time based on facility operational needs. Inmates on any type of restricted status will not be eligible for visitation. Visitation Hours
Montgomery County Correctional Facility (MCCF) Visitation Hours:
Sunday-Saturday (7 Days/Week) : 8am-11am, 1pm-4pm, 6pm-9pm
Wednesday and Saturday (2 Days/Week): 12pm-3pm
Important Information:
- Each eligible inmate will receive one (1) 30-minute visit on their assigned visiting date.
- All visitors and inmates are required to wear masks at all times regardless of vaccination status while inside the facilities. No gaiter type masks are permitted. Visitors 2 years old and younger excluded.
- Each inmate may have a total of two (2) visitors at any given time. One (1) of those visitors may be a minor child or infant.
- Visitors must submit to temperature screening and security clearance prior to facility entry.
- Visitors must use the wipes provided by Correctional Staff to clean their assigned visiting station.
- All visitors are expected to stay six (6) feet apart from other visiting groups at all times. Direction will be provided by Correctional staff, as well as by floor markings.
- Inmates on any restricted status are not eligible and will not be permitted visits.
Suicide Prevention Information
If you are visiting or talking to an inmate on the phone and they sound depressed, may be thinking of harming themselves and you feel it may be a life safety issue, such as the potential for suicide or other serious concern, please call 240-773-9704 and ask to speak to a shift supervisor immediately.

Visitation Procedures
- Eligible inmates at the Correctional Facility and inmate workers at the Detention Center are permitted two hourly visits per week, but these may be shortened at the officer's discretion during busy periods to meet operational needs. The visiting week begins on Sunday.
- Visitors must show a valid state photo ID, driver's license, or other recognized photo ID that lists a place of residence. Passports will be honored if a second form of ID is made available that lists a home residence.
- Visitors must be 18 years of age unless accompanied by parent or guardian.
- Visitors must be dressed appropriately. No halter tops, half shirts and/or tube tops, see-thru blouses, skirts above mid-thigh (hem length), tight clothing that reveals body contour, clothing that is very short, clothing that exposes the midriff area, significant portions of the torso or shoulders, extremely low cut shirts of any type, torn clothing that exposes underwear, spandex clothing of any type (i.e. jogging attire), headwear of any type that partially conceals the identity of a person, and any other clothing that is otherwise clearly inappropriate as determined by facility staff.
