Montgomery County Therapeutic Recreation provides accessible recreation, leisure skills and personal development activities for individuals with disabilities through adaptive programs and inclusion (mainstreaming). Therapeutic Recreation and Inclusion Services is dedicated to providing a wide range of fun, innovative, inclusive, accessible and social recreational experiences for individuals with disabilities. Offer classes such as aquatics, art, dance, fitness, sports and more. Additional programs geared toward adults include social clubs and special events. Also offer camps for youth and teens aged 6 to 21 years, as well as family events for all ages.

Montgomery Parks
Montgomery Parks has a complete list of trails, facilities, and parks through their online directory. Find a park close to you based on the accessible features it offers. Also offer inclusive special events and programs including therapeutic ice skating at Cabin John Ice Rink, ACEing Autism at Wheaton Indoor Tennis Facility, and Sensory Sundays at the Agricultural History Farm Park.

City of Rockville - Recreation & Parks
Rockville Recreation and Parks is comprised of 65 parks, three community centers, indoor and outdoor Aquatic & Fitness Center and multiple facilities, including Glenview Mansion and the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre and Social Hall and Croyden Creek Nature Center. Rockville has initiated accessibility improvements to their system including parks and facilities renovations. Examples of improvements include parking area repaving, new signage, compliant walkways, park amenity modifications and/or replacements. Rockville Recreation & Parks mission is to nurture community connections. Every year, they organize hundreds of programs and activities to promote a healthy and active lifestyle. Program Access also referred to as “Inclusion”, welcomes individuals with disabilities to participate in Rockville recreation and leisure activities. Reasonable modifications are provided to enable an individual’s successful participation.
