The mission of Montgomery County Recreation is to provide high quality, diverse, and accessible programs, services and facilities that enhance the quality of life for all ages, cultures and abilities.

Montgomery County Therapeutic Recreation  provides accessible recreation, leisure skills and personal development activities for individuals with disabilities through adaptive programs and inclusion (mainstreaming). The Therapeutic Recreation and Inclusion Services Team is dedicated to providing a wide range of fun, innovative, inclusive, accessible and social recreational experiences for individuals with disabilities. Offer classes such as aquatics, art, dance, fitness, sports and more. Additional programs geared toward adults include social clubs and special events. Also offer camps for youth and teens aged 6 to 21 years, as well as family events for all ages.

Also offer  inclusive special events and programs including therapeutic ice skating at Cabin John Ice Rink, ACEing Autism at Wheaton Indoor Tennis Facility, and Sensory Sundays at the Agricultural History Farm Park.
