About Us

The Mid-County Regional Services Center is the local government office for Ashton, Aspen Hill, Brookeville, Capital View, Derwood, forest Glen, Glenmont, Kemp Mill, Kensington, Layhill, Norbeck, Olney, Sandy Spring, Upper Rock Creek, and Wheaton communities. The Regional Services Director serves the following functions: Strengthens communication between the community and various agencies of County Government; Identifies regional priorities and future service needs; Recommends programs and policies tailored to the local community; And oversees County services in downtown Wheaton performed by the Wheaton Clean and Safe Teams.

Boards and Committees

The Mid-County Regional Area has several boards and committees which meet on a monthly basis. Community members may attend these meetings and may also request an agenda or minutes for any of these meetings. Mid-County Citizens Advisory Board (MCCAB) and Wheaton Urban District Advisory Committee ( WUDAC) serve the Mid-County region.


Elected County Officials

The Mid-County RS region is served by County Executive Marc Elrich and three district county council members. Natali Fani-Gonzalez - District 6, Dawn Luedtke - District 7, and Kristin Mink - District 5. At Large Council members are Gabe Albornoz, Evan Glass, Will Jawando, and Laurie-Anne Sayles
