- Design for Life – tax incentives and recognition is available to building professionals that build to defined standards.
- Façade Easement Program – commercial revitalization or modernization of older commercial areas, specifically Burtonsville and Colesville.
- Business Funding & Incentives – The State of Maryland and Montgomery County offer a variety of programs designed to help businesses start and grow.
- Group Home Rehabilitation Loan Program – The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program provides for the rehabilitation of group homes owned by nonprofit organizations which are occupied by persons of low- and moderate-income who are disabled.
- Montgomery County Green Bank – a public financing authority that leverages private capital with limited public-purpose dollars to accelerate the growth of clean energy markets.
- Montgomery County Small Business Assistance Program (SBAP) – assists certain small businesses located in the County that are adversely impacted by a County-funded redevelopment project or a redevelopment project located on County-owned property. Currently focused on the Wheaton Redevelopment Project.
- Montgomery County Small Business Impact Assistance Fund (IAF) – provides financial assistance and/or technical assistance to certain financially healthy small businesses in designated areas of the County that are adversely impacted by a redevelopment project initiated by the County, a redevelopment project located on County-owned property, or a redevelopment project constructed by a private entity for use in whole or in part by the County as a public facility.
- Multi-Family Housing Projects – funding for developers to produce and preserve affordable housing.
- Multi-family property owners may also be eligible for several different types of incentives.
- Property Tax Credits and Exemptions – available for certain business activities or within certain areas to encourage economic development.
- Senior Group Home Subsidy – pays a portion of the cost for clients to live in licensed senior group homes in Montgomery County.
- Tree Montgomery – Tree Montgomery is a FREE program to plant shade trees across Montgomery County including single family homes, areas surrounding parking lots and multi-family communities. The program also targets areas where there is a lot of development, little tree canopy or a real need for shade.
- Agricultural businesses – The Montgomery County Office of Agriculture has a variety of initiatives and programs that benefit agriculture-focused businesses.
- BioHealth Companies – Montgomery County is home to
BioHealth Innovation, a public private partnership dedicated to creating and advancing the biohealth industry in the Capital Region. BHI sources and evaluates market-relevant bioheath intellectual properties, connects the IP with funding, and assists businesses in marketing and growth. It aims to:
- Increase the flow of private and public early stage capital;
- Develop an active commercialization talent network;
- Facilitate accelerated tech transfer and commercialization of relevant innovations;
- Market and brand the region as a global biohealth leader; and

Ensure an adequate supply of experienced biohealth entrepreneurs and workers.
Montgomery County also supports biotechnology companies through an investor incentive program.

Child Care Providers – the Montgomery County Child Care Resource & Referral Center offers a suite of services to child care providers including professional development, technical assistance, quality enhancement opportunities and health consultations. The Maryland Women's Business Center partners with the County to offer a busienss development program for family childcare providers and child care center directors .

Cybersecurity – The National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE), a part of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), is a collaborative hub where industry organizations, government agencies and academic institutions work together to address businesses’ most pressing cybersecurity challenges. The NCCoE was established in 2012 by NIST in partnership with the State of Maryland and Montgomery County.
Cybersecurity companies may be eligible for a tax credit supplement program.

- RainScapes program – property owners can get technical assistance and rebates for installing RainScapes
- Reduce parking demand and traffic congestion by leveraging car sharing with locations in Bethesda, Chevy Chase, North Bethesda, Silver Spring and Wheaton
- Recycling bins – businesses may contact the Department of Environmental Protection to request recycling bins for the workplace.
- Recycling Information for the Workplace – guides, handbooks and more for workplace recycling.
- SORRT (Smart Organizations Reduce and Recycle Tons) Program – commercial property owners, business owners, managers, employees and property managers can access outreach, education, technical assistance, training and hands-on guidance to set up, maintain and expand on-site waste reduction, reuse, recycling and buying recycled programs.
- Water Quality Protection Charge Credit – for property owners who own and maintain on-site stormwater management practices, based on the volume of water captured.
- Business Liaison - works in the Office of Consumer Protection to help ensure integrity in the marketplace for businesses and consumers.
- Business-to-Business Mediation – mediation services are available to County businesses to help resolve a variety of disputes
- Child Care Programs in MCPS – opportunities to run before- and after-school child-care programs in Montgomery County Public Schools.
