More than 95% of businesses in Montgomery County have 50 or fewer employees (Source: QCEW data provided by DLLR). Here are just some of the resources that have helped create a small business mecca here in Montgomery County.

Small Business Programs

To help ensure the engine of small business runs smoothly, Montgomery County has developed a Small Business Toolkit of services and resources to assist with the issues and challenges that might get in the way of success.

Montgomery County small businesses have access to an array of services and resources to help them grow and thrive:

Business Solutions Group

Montgomery County's resource specifically for local small businesses.
Although every effort is made to provide information in a helpful and accessible manner – sometimes a small business just needs someone to talk to for assistance.

In an effort to provide a new level of service to our small business community, the Montgomery County Council established the Business Solutions Group.

The Small Business Navigator and Business Liaison Officers help businesses interacting with County government. Assistance might be related to rules, regulations or licensing; permitting; procurement, or simply improved communication with County departments and agencies. Services are available to businesses located in Montgomery County or considering a move to Montgomery County.

If you are a small business and you have run into an obstacle in your efforts to work in or with the County, please leverage the services of the Business Solutions Group.
