Once you have found a spot, check to see if it qualifies for the Montgomery County MOVE Program, an innovative approach to attracting new businesses to Montgomery County. Eligible new businesses will receive a one-time grant to offset relocation costs upon signing a commercial lease within the county.

Entrepreneurs seeking a vibrant and supportive environment in which to launch and accelerate grow should consider the Montgomery County Business Innovation Network (BIN). Montgomery County's incubation program offers a wide array of benefits to participating companies:

  • Convenient locations in close proximity to strategic business assets including federal agencies, public transportation, industry partners, vibrant retail/residential town centers and major travel routes.
  • Turnkey office space.
  • Shared conference rooms with state-of-the-art audio-visual systems, plus pre-wired offices to accommodate both telephone and broadband internet services.
  • Full complement of resource and support services, including business, legal, intellectual property, accounting and broad technical assistance to help entrepreneurs develop a successful business venture.
  • No long-term lease obligations. Facilities offer flexible one year lease arrangements with 60-day notice terms available.
  • Technical assistance, networking opportunities, tactical workshops, entrepreneurship support. 

VIP – Virtual Incubator Program

Along with its resident program, the Innovation Network offers a virtual tenant program to support businesses that are not physically located in one of the County’s incubator facilities. 

For a small monthly fee participants in the program will have the benefit of full access to the incubator program including:

  • Use of conference rooms, copiers, fax machines and mail services.
  • Attendance at educational luncheons and trainings.
  • Inclusion in all incubator related activities, mailing lists and website.
  • Support from incubator staff for mentoring, introductions, networking, business plan review, referrals to professional services and more.

Germantown
Innovation Center

This center includes  wet labs and clean rooms. It sits on the perimeter of Montgomery College, near its Bioscience Education Center, and offers connections to the County’s companies and resources in the bioscience community.

Rockville
Innovation Center

An office suite in the heart of Rockville Town Square, this center integrates with the County's health IT, big data and cybersecurity communities.

Silver Spring
Innovation Center

Located on Georgia Avenue in south Silver Spring, this center offers office space and resources for innovative companies.
