Providing Workforce Resources
WorkSource Montgomery is the non-profit organization that operates the County’s American Job Centers, which provide a full range of assistance to job seekers. The Council is responsible for
providing oversight of the
organization and recently advocated for changes to the operational structure of WorkSource Montgomery to remove third-party contractors, increasing its accountability to residents.
The County’s most comprehensive job center is in Wheaton and two satellite sites are in Germantown and in the Clarksburg Correctional Facility. In the year ahead, the centers will be increasing the number of events, industry sessions and candidate referrals for residents seeking employment.
