Free Rabies Clinics


The Office of Animal Services offers Free Rabies Clinics by appointment only, every Wednedsay from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Prior to scheduling an appointment, please review the procedures and restrictions outlined on this page.

Appointments may be scheduled up to three weeks in advance.

Procedures

  • A Customer Service Representative will contact you to confirm the details of your appointment or request further documentation. Failure to reply with requested documentation within 48 hours of customer service contact may result in the cancellation of your appointment.

  • Upon arrival at the clinic, please park in the parking lot for the Adoption Center entrance (entrance on the right side).

  • Have dogs on separate leashes and cats in separate carriers.

  • Bring your pet(s) to the door and ring the buzzer to the right of the door to be let in.

  • Purchase of a pet license will be required in order to receive free rabies vaccines. Licensing will be available on-site during your appointment.

Rules and Restrictions

  • Must be a Montgomery County resident to participate.

  • If your dog normally wears a muzzle for veterinary care, please have one on the dog prior to entering the building. OAS will not vaccinate an animal if it cannot be handled safely.

  • OAS will offer microchipping services for $10 per pet.

  • All dogs must be on a non-retractable leash, no longer than 6 feet in length.

  • Each cat must be in a separate carrier.

  • The Rabies Clinic ends promptly at 12:00pm. Please be on time for your appointment!
