Rescue Partnerships

Rescue programs are nationally recognized as a valuable tool for increasing positive outcomes for shelter animals. Transfer of animals to other reputable organizations can help reduce overcrowding in the shelter and provide positive alternatives for some of the shelter's most vulnerable residents. MCASAC works with a variety of outside organizations such as private rescue groups (breed specific and all breed), sanctuaries, other shelters, veterinary practices with in office adoption programs, etc.

We are always looking to expand our rescue network so that every animal that comes through our doors has an opportunity to reach their fullest potential.

For the most part, we work primarily with 501(c)(3) rescue groups. Exceptions made for "specialty" rescues, the rescues that may take some of our more exotic animals, are made on a case by case basis.

If you are interested in becoming rescue partners with our organization, please complete and submit a rescue application and agreement, along with a copy of your 501(c)(3) status, to our Rescue Coordinator at
