Food Assistance Providers: Submit your food giveaway event here.

To help us provide timely information, please submit details of your food distribution events at least 7 days in advance. If you have any questions or need assistance with a submission, please email ofsr@montgomerycountymd.gov with the subject line, "Calendar".

Getting Food Near You

Use this map to find food providers near you. Enter your address and click on the “SHOW FILTERS” button to find providers who speak your language, can deliver food to you, or have other special services.

Meals for Children 

For information regarding free- and reduced-price meals (FARMs) at school, please visit  Meal Payments - Division of Food & Nutrition Services. The application for the FARMs program is available online at MySchoolApps - Getting Started.


Meals for Older Adults 

  • If you can’t prepare meals because of illness or disability, see meal delivery resources.
  • If you don’t have a safe way to get food from the supermarket, see grocery delivery resources.
  • If you cannot pay for all of your food, or need someone to deliver food to your home, see food assistance providers who can deliver.
  • The Senior Nutrition Program invites seniors to gather and enjoy your choice of a hot, cold, or vegetarian meal with themed options throughout the month.

    • To find your closest center, reserve your lunch spot, or to request transportation please visit the Congregate Meal Program web page.

    • Seniors 60 years and older will receive lunch free of charge, although a donation is always welcome. For those under age 60, the full price of the meal is required. Please always register in advance!

Women Infants and Children (WIC)

WIC provides healthy foods, health education, help with breastfeeding, and other free services to pregnant women, new mothers, infants and children who qualify.

Food providers who can deliver

For those who cannot afford food from the supermarket, organizations can provide food and deliver the food to a person's home.

Some organizations only provide food to groups they serve. For example, organizations may provide food to people in a select location, age group, culture or people who are a member of their group.
