Silver Spring On-Street Parking Closure Map
MCDOT is making these temporary changes to assist commuters traveling in Montgomery County during the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority’s (WMATA) SAFETRACK program. The WMATA SAFETRACK safety surge (Surge 10) is expected to cause major delays on the entire Red Line between October 29 to November 22. Metrorail riders are being strongly encouraged to use alternate travel options during this time.
In an effort to increase road capacity on main commuter routes for additional transit/bus service and ease the flow of anticipated additional vehicle traffic, on-street public parking metered spaces along routes MD 97/Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring will be converted to “No Parking Zones.” The parking restrictions will be in effect on MD 97/US 29 Georgia Avenue from Glenmont to the District Line (Silver Spring).
Should you have any questions, please contact the Montgomery County Division of Parking Management at 240 777-8740.
