The Parking BlueBook™
The Parking Bluebook™ functions much like a land records books for the purpose of tracking changes in physical space over periods of time. Every parking space that is under the management of the Parking Division has to be recorded, maintained and accounted for.
As a part of this effort, the process of digitizing the records began by the Planning Team under the direction of Jeremy Souders, Chief of Administrative Services. The conversion required a conceptualization of how to best articulate the information based on the intended user. It is understood that for public purposes, the information required is basic:
- Where broken meters are located
- What meters are out of service due to construction
- What meters are reserved for special events
- What meters are out of service due to road or utility work
