MLK Day of Service & Volunteer Fair

The Montgomery County Volunteer Center is thrilled to announce our upoming MLK Day of Service, where volunteers across the County will come together to make a difference in our community. 
 

Saturday, January 18, 2025

Join a service project at the various Community Recreation Centers across the County. Service Projects will be hosted at:

Bauer Drive Community Recreation Center, Rockville
Multi-Project Service Event hosted by Zeta Phi Beta, Sorority, Inc. - Eta Pi Zeta Chapter
11:00 AM - 1:00 PM

 

Blankets for Veterans hosted by Montgomery Hospice & Prince George's Hospice
11:00 AM - 1:00 PM



Gwendolyn E. Coffield Community Recreation Center, Silver Spring
Craft for a Cause hosted by Only Make Believe
12:00 PM - 2:00 PM



Plum Gar Community Center, Germantown
Multi-Project Service Event hosted by Xi Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Join our annual Day of Service & Volunteer Fair at the
Bethesda North Marriott Conference Center
1:00 PM - 3:00 PM, Doors open at 12:00 PM
Participate in service projects that will benefit people and communities in Montgomery County! Participants will also have the change to engage with over 30 local non-profit organizations to learn about opportunities give back throughout the year. 
 
Service Projects include:
  • Assembling Bags of Hope and Cups of Cheer for community members in need
  • Creating "Snow Day" boxes with Meals on Wheels for homebound seniors
  • Creating epowerement kits for girls with Community Bridges
  • Assembling hygiene kits and snack bags for the unhoused...and more!
