Search for Volunteer Opportunities
You can find hundreds of volunteer opportunities by keyword, zip code, interest areas and more. You can sort by newest added, or look at a calendar for date specific opportunities and community events, you can search by minimum age or family-friendly opportunities. Try different combinations of search filters to see what you find! This software is brand new to our agencies so many of the search filters will have even more matches if you check back later.
Do I have to sign up and create an account on the site to find volunteer opportunities?
There are some helpful features if you do create an account, but you don't have to! If you’ve searched and found interesting volunteer opportunities and don’t want to follow the link to “sign up” that requires you create an account, you can find contact information for the organizations and reach out to them directly. Click on the name of the organization which takes you from the opportunity to the organization’s page – you’ll see their contact information so you can call or email them directly. You’ll also find a link to their own website below the map showing their location.
Student Service Learning - SSL
Student volunteer opportunities that are preapproved by the Montgomery County Public Schools SSL Program and allow middle and high school students to meet the 75-hour graduation requirement in a meaningful and valuable way.
AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP
The Volunteer Center is proud to host the AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP ("Retired and Seniors Volunteer Program") program of Montgomery County, MD. Designed to pair volunteers aged 55 and older with local organizations, we currently host AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers at three volunteer stations: AARP Tax-Aide, Bone Builders, and the Montgomery County Volunteer Center.
50+ Volunteer Network
The 50+ Volunteer Network engages volunteers who want to give back to the community by using their lifetime of professional and personal experiences. This includes personal consultations for matching with vetted organizations as well as our RSVP (Retired & Senior Volunteer Program) and our AARP Tax Aide Program.Volunteer Opportunities for Groups

In addition to searching for volunteer opportunities, you can also search for organizations by name, keyword or cause. We have hundreds of nonprofits registered as well as Montgomery County government programs and other government organizations.Court - Ordered Service
Follow the link to find opportunities that the agencies have identified as good for individuals who need to complete court ordered service. Try other search filters to find more opportunities and reach out to the organization directly to find out if you can volunteer with them.
