- MCDOT was proud to recieve a 2023 Excellence in Paving Award from the Maryland Asphalt Association for its' resurfacing of Rock Creek Terrace Subdivision. This award was presented in March 2024.

MCDOT's "Truck Day featuring the Paint the Plow Contest" won an Achievement Award from the National Association of Counties in 2023.
2022

MCDOT was proud to receive a 2022 Excellence in Paving Award from the Maryland Asphalt Association for its' resurfacing of Brighton Dam Road - MD 650 to Brighton Dam. This award was presented in March 2023.

MCDOT was proud to receive a 2021 Excellence in Paving Award from the Maryland Asphalt Association for its' resurfacing of Persimmon Tree Road - River Rd. to MacArthur Blvd. The award was presented in March 2022.
2018

MCDOT was proud to receive the 2018 County Primary Overlay Paving Award and County Subdivision Resurfacing Award from the Maryland Asphalt Association for its' resurfacing of Endor Road - Rt. 182 to Howard County Line and Woodside Forest Subdivision. The award was presented in May 2019.

MCDOT's "Mobile Automatic Vehicle Locator" program was nominated for an Achievement Award from the National Association of Counties (NACo) in 2017.
2015
- MCDOT’s “Social Solutions in Public Works” was nominated for an Achievement Award from the National Association of Counties (NACo) in 2015. The award was presented on January 7, 2016.

- The County Council awarded a Proclamation to Division of Highway Services staff in recognition for their exceptional snow removal efforts during the 2014 - 2015 Winter Season. The award was presented on April 28, 2015.
2012
- MCDOT’s “Navigation Guided Plowing Project” was nominated for an award from the National Association of Counties (NACo) Achievement Awards for 2012. The award was presented on December 4, 2012.
- This project was also selected to receive the County Engineers Association of Maryland (CEAM) Small Award of Merit for 2012. Click here for more information.
