Inside/Not Outside
What is Inside /Not Outside?
Inside/Not Outside is a community-wide effort dedicated to ending chronic homelessness for individuals and families in Montgomery County by the end of 2018. The effort is being led by the County's Interagency Commission on Homelessness (ICH).
Chronic homelessness is defined as someone who has lived on the streets for one year or longer or has had at least four episodes of homelessness in the last three years (totaling one year), and has a disability.
Inside /Not Outside builds on the successes of previous efforts to combat homelessness in the community. Through the Inside /Not Outside initiative, more than 300 Montgomery County residents who have been identified as being chronically homeless have been permanently housed.
The dashboards below show data on veterans homelessness. Montgomery County successful reached its goal to End Veterans Homelessness in December 2015.
