In light of recent transitions within the federal government, various resources have been established to support affected workers, particularly in Montgomery County.
MoComCon is back for a TWO DAY event happening on Saturday, March 22nd and Sunday March 23rd! MoComCon 2025 Art and Essay contests also return as part of our celebration of all things comics, graphic novels, and fandoms! Both contests open Monday, January 6th and close at 5pm on Monday, February 24th.
Free tax preparation assistance is offered each year to low-to-moderate-income Montgomery County taxpayers through the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program. Services are provided by trained volunteers and are by appointment only. Scheduling for tax appointments is now open.

Montgomery County Public Libraries (MCPL) and the Washington Wizards have teamed to get young people reading this winter with the "Wizards Winter Reading Challenge." The free challenge, designed for all ages, opens for registration and begins on December 21 and will run through March 16.
