Internet to Go

Montgomery County Public Libraries (MCPL) is pleased to announce the launch of "Internet to Go," our mobile hotspot lending program for the public. MCPL has a collection of 250 Verizon Mifi Mobile hotspots that are available at all MCPL locations currently providing public service. Customers may place a hold on a hotspot via MCPL's catalog.  Hotspots will be lent for 2 weeks with no renewals.

Eligibility requirements for Checkout

  • Must be at least 14 years old.
  • Must have valid MCPL library account. Account cannot be blocked, expired, or in collections.

Circulation Period

  • Checks out for 2 weeks with no renewals.
  • One mobile hotspot per account.
  • Hotspot may be returned to any library branch.
  • Holds can be placed for pickup at any library branch.

Fees for loss or Replacement

  • Total replacement cost is $230.
  • Individual components: $199 hotspot, $15 case, $15 charger.
  • Data plan will be cancelled after item is 1 week overdue. This means that the device will no longer provide Internet access.
