Montgomery County has selected Habitat for Humanity Metro Maryland (Habitat) as its development partner for an affordable housing project at 107 Fleet Street in Rockville. Habitat proposes to build a duplex home. Each unit will be two stories and contain four bedrooms. One unit will be available to a household earning 50% Area Median Income (AMI) or below, the other unit will be available to a household earning at or below 65% AMI.
Habitat is working through the entitlement process with the City of Rockville. Habitat presented plans to the Rockville Historic District Commission on November 16th, 2023. The site is one of the County-owned properties identified for the development of affordable housing.
Project Background
The 5,018-square-foot site is located on Fleet Street between Maryland Avenue and Monroe Street. County-owned single-family homes used for public purposes are adjacent east and west of the site and senior apartments are directly to the south.
