Current Status: Planning
Montgomery County has selected Victory Housing, Inc. (VHI) as its development partner for an affordable housing project to be collocated at the site of the future White Flint Fire Station. VHI proposes to build a ten-story multifamily senior rental project containing a total of 104 units. The project will contain a mix of one and two bedrooms. The majority of the units will be affordable to households earning between 30 and 60 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI); five units will be available to households earning 100% of the AMI. The project will occupy the portion of the property not utilized for the planned White Flint Fire Station.
VHI is in the initial planning and entitlement phase.
The site is one of the County-owned properties identified for the development of affordable housing.
Project Background
The housing project will occupy the portion of the property not utilized for the planned White Flint Fire Station; the future fire station will be built directly north of the housing site. Please click here to learn more about the fire station project. Directly east of the site is an auto repair business. Southeast of the property (directly east of the pipestem) is the Forum Condominium. South of the pipestem portion of the Site is the Sterling at the Metro, a condominium including high-rise multifamily and ground floor commercial. Two office buildings are to the west of the Site. Further west of the Site is the recently built Pike and Rose mixed-use development.
