Montgomery County, Maryland, announces that it proposes to sell approximately 13,451 square feet of County-owned property on Walter Johnson Road, Germantown, Maryland to Lidl US, LLC for a purchase price of $375,000. A virtual public hearing on the proposed transfer of property will be held at 1:00pm on October 12, 2022 via a Zoom meeting.

Sites Available for Affordable Housing Development

Montgomery County continues to build on its recent successes in adding to the affordable housing stock by offering 18 County-owned properties for the development of affordable housing. To assist in selecting a development partner, we are issuing a series of Requests for Developer Proposals (RFDPs) for each property. The first round of RFDPs was issued Thursday, September 1. Our Mission

The Office of Planning and Development implements and manages the County’s redevelopment projects by creating opportunities for public-private partnerships that leverage County assets and facilitate Executive initiatives.
