Adult Summer Reading June 14 - August 31

Montgomery County Public Libraries’ Summer Reading Challenge offers adults a chance to fill their summer with great books and fun activities.

Participating is easy:

  • Sign up (or log in) online or at your local library starting May 15, and begin logging your reading and activities.
  • When you sign up online you will be able to mark your progress on the bingo board and earn tickets for the raffle prizes.

  • 6/14 @ 7:00 pm Booktails: a Night of mocktails and books
  • 7/20 Downtown Silver Spring Farmers Market
  • 7/23 @ 7:00 pm Trivia Night at 7 Locks Brewery
  • 8/2 @ 7:00 pm Drag Bingo Night
  • 8/10 Good Hope Community Festival

Raffle Prizes

Use the tickets you earned through ReadSquared to enter for one of three raffle prizes:

  1. Local Adventure includes books for Maryland and DC day trips, Maryland themed socks, hat, and magnet, Old Bay coffee mug, and packable day pack.
  2. Stanley Yelnatz Adventure includes a copy of Holes by Louis Sacher, Stanley 40 oz Quencher mug, Stanley 7 qt cooler, and classic Stanley 24 oz vacuum food jar.
  3. Travel Adventure includes books about travel, a packing list, packing cubes, packable day pack, travel journals, portable charger, portable door lock, and refillable toiletries kit.
