Rosemary Hills ES and Rock Creek Forest ES
Walkshed Safety Evaluations

Last year, the MCDOT Safe Routes to School team conducted safety assessments of Rosemary Hills Elementary School and Rock Creek Forest Elementary School walksheds. This assessment, which is referred to as a walkability study, reviewed the condition of existing infrastructure and developed improvements that may be implemented within the school walksheds to provide safe and accessible routes for students walking and biking to the school.

MCDOT staff will hold an onsite community meeting on Wednesday, September 10, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to discuss the installation of approximately 1,500 linear feet of new sidewalk along the westbound side of Washington Avenue, between Ellingson Drive and Meadowbrook Lane.
The meeting will begin at the intersection of Meadowbrook Lane and proceed toward Ellingson Drive.
