Rosemary Hills ES and Rock Creek Forest ES
Walkshed Safety Evaluations

Last year, the MCDOT Safe Routes to School team conducted safety assessments of Rosemary Hills Elementary School and Rock Creek Forest Elementary School walksheds. This assessment, which is referred to as a walkability study, reviewed the condition of existing infrastructure and developed improvements that may be implemented within the school walksheds to provide safe and accessible routes for students walking and biking to the school. A community meeting is scheduled for October 2, 2024, to present these sidewalk and safety improvements identified by the study. The community meeting will also help County staff better understand safety needs and plan future sidewalk and safety improvement projects within the Rosemary Hills and Rock Creek Forest Elementary School walksheds.

Project Schedule
