Paramedic Program Application 2023

Paramedic Program Announcement - Fall 2023

  • The application period for the Fall 2023 Paramedic Program will open on Monday, June 12, 2023.
  • The application deadline is 1700 HRS Friday June 30, 2023
  • There are no exceptions to this deadline. If you have questions prior to submitting your application, please contact us

Application Process

  1. Review the Frequently Asked Questions for the Shift or Night Class Model

Phase 1

  1. Visit this page to view application instructions and submit an application - Paramedic Program Application Portal
  2. Familiarize yourself with the FISDAP entrance exam
  3. Sit for the remote-proctored FISDAP Entrance Exam and submit your Resume and Personal Essay

Phase 2

  1. Top-scoring FISDAP and phase one application candidates advance to the Phase 2 and Teach-Backs and Panel Interviews
  2. The Teach-Back will require candidates to teach a panel how to perform a comprehensive Basic Life Support Patient Assessment
    • The Teach-Back and Interview will be conducted at the PSTA
    • Candidates will be given parameters in advance of their BLS Teach-Back so they may present their best ability
    • Candidates will participate in a short interview and answer structured questions from an admissions panel on the same day as their Teach-Back

Phase 3

  1. Admissions status letters are disseminated to all candidates
    • Accepted Candidates will be assigned a class cohort
    • Candidates who are not accepted may request feedback from their application effort for the purpose of Candidate improvement

    • Monday, June 12 @0900 HRS - Virtual Town Hall Meeting
    • Tuesday, June 13 @1800 HRS - Virtual Town Hall Meeting
    • Wednesday June 14 @0900 HRS - Virtual Town Hall Meeting
  • Friday, June 30 - Application period closes at 1700 hours
  • Saturday, July 1 through Sunday, July 9 -  FISDAP Entrance Exam proctored remotely in your home by appointment
  • July 17 through July 28 – Selected Candidates visit the PSTA for in-person teaching evolution and interview
  • Application Status Letters - sent to candidates week of August 7, 2023
  • Tentative Evening Class Start Date – September 11, 2023
  • Tentative Shift Class Start  Date – September 12, 2023
